Save the date! We hope you'll join us on Friday, August 30 from 3:30 to 5 PM for a celebration of all of SLT's wonderful volunteers. If you've donated some of your valuable time to serving SLT as an individual or part of a volunteer group to help care for SLT-conserved lands, we want to thank and recognize you! Expect pizza, comradery, and a stroll along the Mill Trail's main trail.
We are especially excited to host UVM Senior Lecturer and Geologist Stephen Wright for an hour-long guided stroll at the Mill Trail to learn about the rocks and history of glaciers in the Stowe area. With Stephen, we'll look for clues to the past and discuss how Vermont's geological history affects our experience of the land today.
The volunteer celebration will kick off at the Moravian Cabin at the Mill Trail at 3:30 PM, where we will name SLT's 2024 Volunteer of the Year and enjoy pizza and non-alcoholic beverages together. From 4-5 PM, we'll stroll the Mill Trail main trail towards Bingham Falls with Professor Wright (possibly with pizza and drinks in hand!).
Space is limited, so sign up now! For more information, email Nicole at nicole@. stowelandtrust.org
