9:00 am – 1:00 pm
The first downhill ski trails in Stowe were cut in Ranch Valley in the 1930’s. While the focus of downhill skiing has moved up Route 108, the Ranch Valley still offers great turns. Join SLT and friends on a backcountry tour of the area.
This outing is for experienced skiers and riders. Pack snacks and a lunch and something to drink, preferably something warm in a thermos. Be prepared to ski the flats, to skin up (bring skins) and to ski down, but the route/itinerary will be decided by snow conditions and weather. The trip should take 2-3 hours, depending on the group, weather and snow.
We're meeting at the beginning of Ranch Brook Rd, located here. Please be sure to bring your own equipment. For more information or to RSVP, give us a call at (802) 253-7221 or send us an email.
