Professional hands-on instruction in chainsaw safety and tree felling techniques provided by Northeast Woodland Training Inc. at DuMont Meadow. We will be felling trees in the meadow, so please be prepared to walk in with all your gear about 3/4 of a mile to the training site.

Whether you have never used a chain saw or have thirty years of experience in the woods, this training develops safe working skills through demonstration and one-on one, hands-on practice. Appropriate for: Property owners and managers, loggers, students, and anyone who uses or wants to use a chainsaw. Students under 18 must have parent’s permission and be physically capable of operating a chain saw.

Based on the internationally-accepted “Game of Logging” (GOL) developed by Soren Eriksson, Northeast Woodland Training Inc.’s professional instructors teach loggers, woodland landowners, students and others the latest and safest techniques to operate/maintain their chainsaws and to directionally fell trees under a variety of circumstances.
