Stowe area residents love their dogs! Sharing time outdoors with our canine companions can be a wonderful experience, and it is important to plan ahead to ensure the best outcome for all trail users—on two and four legs! Make sure to follow Stowe's animal ordinance, and to maintain control of your dog at all times. Remember to leave no trace—pack out all dog waste from conserved lands and dispose of it properly. Although dog waste bags are provided at SLT-owned trailheads, you are responsible for disposing of the bags elsewhere. Be considerate of other trail users, and be aware of your dog's impact on local wildlife. Enjoy exploring local trails with your furry friends!
