Join us to explore the un-groomed hills and valleys of Stowe's most recent conservation project by ski! Led by SLT board members, this community event will connect you to both Brownsville-Story Ridge Forest, and the community here in Stowe. With the recent snowfall we'll plan to climb McCall Pasture Road, enjoy sweeping views of the Worcester Range, and then zip back down to our cars.
Location: Brownsville-Story Ridge Forest. Meet at the corner of McCall Pasture Road and Brownsville Road where the plowing ends. Please pull to the side of the road and take care not to block neighboring driveways or the roadway.
Date and Time: Saturday, February 15, 2020, 10 am - 12 pm
Participants should dress in warm layers and have previous nordic skiing experience. This is not a ski lesson. Please bring snacks, water, extra clothing, and backcountry nordic skis, poles and boots (metal edged skis are highly recommended). Please leave pets at home.
This event is free and open to the public.
