2017 marks Stowe Land Trust’s 30th anniversary! Our land conservation efforts started with a few community members gathering together to protect the Mayo Farm in 1987. Over the decades since then, SLT has blossomed into an enduring and trusted organization with deep community roots, a dedicated board of 22, and a professional staff.
Our members and supporters have helped grow the organization into one that oversees 3,500 acres of protected land and engages a broad range of community members of all ages in hands-on stewardship work each year. We also continue to help landowners protect additional productive farm and forest lands that are important to the Stowe community.
